Here at Swadharma Yogshala our daily timetable is strictly organized to include yoga classes, meditation sessions and free time. Your day starts with yoga exercise session in the morning, which concentrates on awakening yoga positions and breathing exercises. Following a healthy meal, you will have an opportunity to take yoga philosophy or anatomy classes to enhance your knowledge. Midday, there is some time for contemplation or walking through Rishikesh, which is very quiet. Some of the afternoon classes include yoga, a class aimed at letting the participant’s body heal and their mind find inner peace. The curriculum at Swadharma Yogshala has been organized with the aim of offering full-fledged understanding of yoga, as it is embraced by modernity. It is an extensive topic that encompasses the physical postures, known as asanas, pranayama, which is the breathing exercises, and meditation and yoga philosophy. Students will be learning about anatomy and physiology to know how yoga works on the physical and psychological aspects of individuals. It also covers teaching technique, which enables you to teach other people with confidence and precision. All the sessions are very much supported with the theoretical aspects of Yoga-making the practice much more deeper than what exists on the surface. The program is very much designed in a way that prepares a student to be a good Yoga Savior for life.
This module will include the core principles of Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Emphasis is laid upon balancing asana movements with breath for an immersive practice. Forward bending, standing poses, twisting, meditative, kneeling, backward bending, inverted, balancing and relaxing poses are introduced. Joint exercises and structuring the asanas are taught. Sun Salutations and Moon salutations are introduced in this module. Lessons also include the significance of Sanskrit as the language of yoga with respect to its various terms.
Pranayama or yogic breathing as a means to relieve stress is introduced in yoga class. Different aspects of breath control such as significance of breath retention and its various benefits are discussed. The classes also delve into the concept and significance of Rhythmic and Diaphragmatic breathing.
